What about me?
What about my
practice?
On July 27, 1982 I graduated from the Potomac Massage Training Institute in Washington, DC.
The Potomac Massage Training Institute is one of the oldest and most respected massage therapy institutes in the country. I consider it my second best decision in my entire life. Marrying Mark, my husband, was the first.
I am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association or AMTA.
I hold a Virginia State license and a Fairfax County business license.
I refer to my clients as "clients" instead of patients. I do not view massage as a clinical experience.
I am currently a candidate for Ordination as a Deacon in Full Connection with the United Methodist Church. I have also studied Early Childhood Development at Catholic University in Washington, DC.
On the personal side, I have four children and live with my husband, Mike, in the Los Angeles, California.
"I never intended to be a massage therapist.
I just wanted to know how to make people feel that good. I thought I would just take a couple of workshops, but one thing lead to another. Before I realized it, I was committed to the whole program.
After studding for 1 ½ years on evenings and weekends, I graduated in July 17, 1982."
